Ease of Doing Business India 2050

Ease of Doing Business India 2050

A very popular term used by most of the politicians in today’s India. So considering World Bank definition where economies are ranked on their ease of Doing Business which is from 1-190 and we proudly stand at No 100, wow! Though the scoring is based on 10 parameters.

This index was created by Simeon Djankov. I still think these politicians actually understand “Ease of Doing Business”.

Doing business in India is a critical study. I was talking to one of my friend on his new venture in aviation. I asked him a question, that all his life whatever he got was from India, now when the time has come to pay back you are thinking of a business destination that is outside India… while I continued with my criticism like somebody who is jealous…he interrupted and said I have to return to my investors double what I have got. The investment was big and mostly from Indian investors my dear friend had worked out on all alternatives and reached a conclusion that he will not be able to match the figures that he need to pay to the cost of red tapism and hence decided a offshore location

As per latest reports of doing business it’s very easy to do business in UK and US but the category classifies India under medium category.

I don’t criticize with what we have because what we have today is what we have built so far. The past was wild and Future is unpredictable. There are many who are making big bugs by doing nothing but still doing business without bringing any employment, profiting economy, the standards which are generally laid down for any new business generation of employment, social cause, etc. etc.

The same economy has people who are making turnover of 1000 crores and there are companies which are struggling to make even lakhs. Everyone is talking about mentorship- it is another big industry able to employ few people from few top ranking colleges.

To understand this and the government support for entrepreneurship I tried understanding a famous scheme PMRY (Pradhanmantri Rozgar Yojna) where bankers made big bugs, same ways MSME schemes and now a famous one I had coming from the state of Uttar Pradesh loan grant of 900 Crores. Government and associated bodies strongly working to make big bugs.

It’s a same old methodology where an unemployed youth is asked to register on a government portal with heavy fees and appear for the exam. Somebody already unemployed same as a huge amount charged in the name of incubators and mentorship.

I think better to make a capitalist economy and strive for India 2050 vision rather than giving a taste of mixed economy with an advantage to few.

We should have a vision for India with standards in employment generation, regulatory and compliance, labour laws, per capita income, infrastructure development, job creation per annum, health facilities, skilled labour in all the sectors and not a religious and caste discrimination based vision which has today become a winning streaks for the politicians.
