Earthquake: Fundraising more than $50,000 as donations from the Moroccan community to Turkey

Independent volunteers from the Moroccan community in Turkey have managed to raise one million Turkish lira, the equivalent of more than 50,000 dollars (500,000 MAD) to help victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.? The collected amount will afford a solidarity caravan to the epicenter of the earthquake in Kahramanmara? in coordination with the Turkish Public Emergency Management Agency AFAD and the Turkish Immigration Office “G?? With the extent of the damage from the earthquake that struck southern Turkey and Syria, the Moroccan community in Turkey managed to raise one million Turkish liras (TL), the equivalent of more than 50,000 dollars ( MAD 500,000).??
Objective: to help the victims of the earthquake and their families to ease their daily suffering after this harsh catastrophic ordeal.
The culmination of this surge of solidarity is the result of the fundraising mobilization initiated by a committee of Moroccan volunteers in Turkey and abroad.
?The total donations received from the moroccan community in Turkey and around the world will allow the fund of a truck of in kind donations for the benefit of the victims of the earthquake, both Turkish citizens and Syrian refugees.
Concretely, in coordination with the Public Emergency Management Agency AFAD and the Turkish Immigration Office “G?? Idaresi”, the volunteer coordination committee intends to send a truck of donations to the region this week.? epicenter of the deadly 7.8 degree earthquake, namely Kahramanmara?.

?Part of the collected funds will also be donated in cash to AFAD to allow it allocate at its convenience, to the special funds dedicated to managing the consequences of the earthquakes in southern Turkey, including that of February 6.
