Earth Matters: My weekly scoop - 32

Earth Matters: My weekly scoop - 32

As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a year that has been both rewarding and challenging. From personal achievements to professional milestones, this year has been about balancing priorities, embracing growth, and making an impact.

Personal highlights

This year brought one of my most significant personal milestones: I had a baby! It’s been a dream come true, but also a major adjustment. Balancing work and family life is a challenge many mothers can relate to, and I’m incredibly grateful for the flexibility of agile and remote working. This balance has allowed me to embrace this beautiful new chapter in my life.

I’m beyond grateful for my supportive husband, who helps me find balance, and my amazing family - five sisters and my mom - who are always just a call away. I’m also incredibly thankful for my team at P3 Connect ( Lisa Paris , Naz Latif Pauperio and Yannis Liu ). They’ve stepped in when needed, giving me the space to care for my baby while continuing to do work that matters.

This year has been all about showing up and sharing my voice. I wrote 31 articles on topics I’m passionate about, which has been an amazing way to explore new ideas and perspectives. Winning the Employer of the Women Award and being a finalist for the Positivity Awards, both hosted by the Women's Business Club , were proud moments. But more than anything, they reminded me how much more there is to do.

I took on more public speaking opportunities, growing my confidence to talk about what really matters. One standout moment was being a panelist at the Deal Room Davos. Another was helping to organise and lead the International Women’s Day event, where I got to moderate a panel with Zubair Anwar-Bawany - a truly unforgettable experience!

On top of that, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my podcast, Now, Near, and the Future , co-hosted with Quinn Harrington . This project has been a dream of mine, and I can’t wait to share it with you. The first episode drops in January 2025, where we’ll explore what’s shaping our world today, tomorrow, and beyond.

P3 Connect: Making an impact

2024 has been a busy and rewarding year. Thank you to everyone involved in the impactful projects we’ve worked on. I’m excited to continue collaborating with more companies and teams in 2025 to drive meaningful change and turn intent into impact!

  • We developed a new service line - Intent to Impact - an interactive two-hour workshop designed to help clients craft strategic blueprints for their next transformative project. From change initiatives to sustainability endeavours, this workshop is a game-changer. We can’t wait to officially launch it in 2025.
  • We continued our commitment to education and community development by supporting Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Higher Secondary School with 10 annual scholarships for students. We also strengthened our partnership with Sab Saath, helping them extend aid to those in need.
  • We collaborated with SDGme Lab , Girl2030, UN Global Compact Network Nigeria , The Coffee Snobs, The Minster Building to host the International Women’s Day event: Unstoppable Women and played the 2030 SDGs Game. Also, I delivered a session at the Smart Girls Just Want to Have Funds workshop organised by Augusta E Moses , to equip teenage girls with the tools and confidence to navigate their financial futures.
  • Engaging Employees: We supported our clients in enhancing internal communications and employee engagement strategies, and sustainability reporting, helping them build stronger, more connected, and socially responsible teams. At P3 Connect, we believe in this formula:

Satisfied clients = Engaged employees + Transparent communication + Purpose-driven strategies

Looking Ahead

2024 has been a year of growth, learning, and meaningful achievements. It reminded me of the power of collaboration and the importance of staying aligned with my values.

As we step into 2025, I’m excited about new beginnings—launching the new workshops, continuing to build the podcast, and driving forward impactful and meaningful collaborations with more purposeful organisations.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here’s to making 2025 a year of purpose, growth, and positive change!
