Earth Forensics Granted FAA Section 333 Exemption (Say what?)

Earth Forensics, Inc. was granted a Section 333 Exemption from the FAA! Great, but what does that mean?
Section 333 exemptions are named after the section in the 2012 FAA Modernization and Reform Act (FMRA) that allows the FAA to authorize small commercial drone operations – those under 55 pounds – before a final Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) rule is issued.
From our permit:
OPERATIONS AUTHORIZED Operation of DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ Unmanned Aircraft Systems at or below 200 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) for the purpose of aerial data collection.
EFI is one of 235 companies that have been issued an Exemption from the FAA.
In the next couple of weeks, we will be posting a few examples of the research we have conducted with our UAS. In the meantime, check out the pictures that were taken from our UAS of recharge basins in the Chino Basin and our flyer outlining EFI's Aerial Photography Services.

Earth Forensics is fully insured and licensed to use a UAS to capture accurate geospatial data for a wide range of applications.

9 年Super cool, I am part of a Biochar study that is looking into the surface water retention properties of Pacific Biochar's Biochar soil ammendment as a water saving initiative for CA. The generous donation to Manteca Unified School Districts nutrition program was made possible through a hard working talented group truly dedicated to helping CA Agriculture through alternative energy and biomass conversion.
