The Keynote Speaker was Prof. Glen MacDonald, a Distinguished Professor of UCLA. What made the event extraordinary was hearing from the International Authority on the environmental effects of climate change and drought. Here is a link to some amazing finding of his research. How Sri Lanka is doing on the role of climate change
Glenn MacDonald gave a well-received speech and was later the recipient of a beautiful elephant made from stones and jewels in a lovely encasement. You can see this photo above on the upper right and the gentleman with lei.
