History Of Earth Day
Beginning in 1970 America , after 150 years of industrial revolution, the Earth Day movement took place pushing towards a greener future after people began to notice the negative health effects caused by factories pollution.
?In 1990, Denis Hayes an environmental group leader organised a major campaign for the planet. This time it went global reaching 200 million people across over 130 countries. His efforts led to a boost in recycling efforts across the world and pushed for the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit.
