Early Finish Fridays

Balancing work and life are challenging enough in any industry, but with the fast paced nature of recruitment, many consultants can feel burnt out by the end of the week. To combat this and reward the staff for their great efforts in 2022, our London office has introduced 1pm finishes on Fridays.

Creating a culture in which our employees see their hard work recognized and rewarded is so important to everyone at Streamline Services. Partnering this notion with the importance of our all the team's individual mental health, the system seemed a great step in improving that work and life balance.

When asked, our director Lee Griffiths said "I introduced the 1pm finish on a Friday for my Team in London as I wanted to give them something back for all their hard work, commitment and great results throughout the year, finishing at lunchtime gives them that extra half a day to their weekends to enjoy.

He went on to say, "whether it's picking their kids up from school, game of golf, lunch with the girlfriend/wife or just to go home and chill, since we started it a month ago it has been a great success and all the team are enjoying the benefits of the extra time.”

This system is only successful however with the hard work of the team during the working hours, which starts at 8am on each Friday as well. Everyone arrives at the office at least 10 minutes before 8 to ensure they are in the right mindset to crack on throughout the morning.

Evolving and developing our operations is paramount if we want to improve as a company, and throughout the office this new system has had positive feedback. It encapsulates both maintaining that level of focused work, while giving our team personal time to spend how they please.

We are very happy with the success of the system so far and the feeling throughout the office is with the continued hard work of the everyone, this will continue into the new year.
