Breast cancer is the commonest cancer in women worldwide with a widely variable incidence between countries and regions. The developed countries with a small proportion of the world population account for almost 50% of breast cancers diagnosed worldwide
The incidence of breast cancer is low in India, but rising. Breast cancer is the commonest cancer of urban Indian women and the second commonest in the rural women.
Breast cancer in India is more common in the younger age group and 50% of all cases are in the 25 to 50 years age group. More than 60% of the women are diagnosed with breast cancer at stage III or IV in India.
October is Breast cancer awareness month and we wore pink to proudly support the fight against Breast cancer.The boys at the office show the support by wearing a pink ribbon.
