Early Bird Pricing For OpenMV + Your new go-to drinks app?
Greetings from San Francisco to wherever you may be. In this edition of the OpenCV Newsletter you'll find out how to save 20% on a new OpenMV embedded camera, and how to join this week's webinar featuring the team behind the new AI-enhanced mixology app Voulez Vous. Let's go!
Early Bird Pricing on New OpenMV Cameras
OpenMV's Kickstarter campaign is in full swing, but there are still big savings to be had in the form a few remaining Early Birds. If you act now you can get one of the final 18 Early Bird priced N6 cameras ($20 off!), and just 3 remaining bundles of both the N6 and AE3 (a big $50 savings). These Early Bird prices are gone once the pledge levels are full, so act fast to save big!
The OpenMV N6 is the first OpenMV Cam with an onboard Neural Processing Unit for running AI Models in real time. Now, you can run Multi-Object Detection Models like YOLO onboard at 30+ FPS. All in a package about the size of a US quarter.
The OpenMV AE3 is perfect for embedding machine vision AI into anything. It has a 1MP High-Framerate Color Global Shutter Camera, IMU, Mic, and 8x8 Distance Sensor that you can feed directly to its NPU. Then, you can interface it to the outside world via USB, WiFi/BLE, or QWIIC. The back has a board-to-board connector with plenty of GPIOs for SPI, I2C, UART, PWM control, and more. It even comes in a case, too!
An AI-Powered Mixology App on OpenCV Live
Voulez Vous is a new app made by members of the OpenCV community. It's a super-powered mixology application for iOS and Android phones, which features a huge database of beverages and ingredients, and a little bit of AI secret sauce. Tune in to see how this small team persevered and built something they can be proud of.

This year OpenCV is hosting our first ever official conference- a one day event held in partnership with DisplayWeek. The OpenCV-SID Conference on Computer Vision & AI (OSCCA) is a full day of talks focused on the past, present, and future of computer vision and AI hosted by the world’s most popular computer vision library at Display Week 2025, the premier international event for electronic display technologies.
This exclusive gathering is a fantastic place to meet and socialize with the heart of the CV & AI industry from longtime executives to the next generation of engineers and creators. With a slate of speakers from major names like Alphabet and independent darlings like Tilt5, presentations will cover topics ranging from deep learning framework Keras to state-of-the-art augmented reality gaming to the latest advancements in single-shot detection. Register is open now, and tickets are limited!
Bin-Picking Challenge Phase 1 Submissions Open
Phase 1 submissions are still open for the Bin-Picking Challenge, and there are now 10 teams on the leaderboard. There have been updates to the data set and submission guidelines as well. You can follow along on the official website.
