Eaglet
Eaglet, Eaglet, soar high in the sky,
And gaze upon the vast steppes passing by.
Amidst the silence of fallen comrades,
I was the lone survivor, bearing the wounds and scars.
Eaglet, Eaglet, your feathers shining bright,
Outshining even the purest white light.
I'm just a boy of sixteen, I don't want to die,
But I fought with bravery, never asking why.
Eaglet, Eaglet, the grenade's explosion,
Swept the enemy's hill with a fierce motion.
In my detachment, I was known as the Eaglet,
But my foes called me the Eagle, a name I won't forget.
Eaglet, Eaglet, my faithful friend and guide,
You see that I survived, despite the terrors that reside.
Fly to my village, tell my loved ones I'm alive,
As I was led away to face the firing line.
Eaglet, Eaglet, with your wings spread wide,
Let's fly over the steppes, with their feather-grass fires inside.
Many young eaglets will come to our aid,
And together, we'll rise again, unafraid.
Eaglet, Eaglet, the trains are rolling in,
Victory through struggle, we fought to win.
With the power of an eagle, and millions of Eaglets strong,
Our country is proud, as we stand tall and sing our song.
