EA Masters 2017 – A match made in proptech

The sun was shining and the panoramic views of the river and Canary Wharf set a resolutely forward-looking tone to this year’s EA Masters event. The 2017 edition was all about rewarding excellence by looking at ‘what the Best Estate Agents in the UK do consistently to outperform their competition’, a phrase used by Peter Knight, founder of the Property Academy.

Technology is driving the change

With “how to improve business performance and service standards” being the recurring theme in numerous sessions, it’s clear that many estate agents now appreciate the power and opportunity that technology brings to the table, and are starting to act accordingly.

Whether or not you salute the digital hype, topics like digital customer experience and increased productivity obviously resonated with many visitors. Digital hype aside, it was information about adding hybrid options or cross-over add-ons to the traditional agency model that took centre stage. Hybrid and cross-over interest surpassed that of shifting to a completely digital model. Luckily, our tools give you the flexibility to do just that.

OneDome stole the show

The soared interest in both agency-facing and customer-facing digital tools drove a lot of traffic to the OneDome booth where the team got involved in a wide range of discussions. Agents were keen to find out more about the different ways in which our tools can help them adapt to the changing needs of their customers. Some took an interest in our white-label online valuation and booking tools (OneBook) that allow their customers to engage with them 24/7. Our Lead Validation (OneLead) function that verifies customers’ telephone numbers and email addresses was one of our most talked about products.

It was apparent that the majority of those we met had a real practical need for a platform to keep track of all deals and communicate with both buyers and vendors. That need was reflected in an overwhelming demand for a demo of our OneCo communication platform. We are thrilled to have been able to show everyone how one simple interface gives agents a full audit trail and history of interactions on all accounts, allowing their customers to track the progress of their transaction from the initial viewing to the point they receive the keys.

What can you do to outperform your competition?

With Property Academy creating a new standard of excellence in estate agency and guiding customers to choose the best agent in their area, the race is on. The ease of ordering products and services online is now defining a company’s customer experience and agents that offer digital options will attract more enquiries, more valuations and more business. In response to the digital wave, we developed the best tools to increase revenue for estate agents and, most importantly, improve the experience for the customer.
