E4S and TAU Webinar from University of Oregon and IBM Data Scientist
As part of OpenPOWER Academia and Research webinar series , Dr. Sameer Shende from University of Oregon presented about E4S and TAU tools on OpenPOWER/POWER 9 Platfrom as well as Andrew Zhang from IBM explained abour various IBM AI's features on POWER 9 platform .
Dr. Sameer Shede presented the features of TAU ( Tooling and Analsis Utitlities ) , E4S ( Extreme Scale Scientific Software , was able to show the audience the setup of E4S Singularity container and TAU’s usage with AI/ML stacks including PyTorch, Tensorflow and Keras. He also showed an MPI with C++ (CoMD) example as well with TAU’s profiling and tracing support. He also showed an MPI with C++ (CoMD) example as well with TAU’s profiling and tracing support.
Extreme-scale Scientific Software Stack (E4S) is a community effort to provide open source software packages for developing, deploying and running scientific applications on high-performance computing (HPC) platforms. E4S provides from-source builds and containers of a broad collection of HPC software packages. As part of the University of Oregon project collaboration with us , Performance lab in University of Oregon ported E4S on POWER9 platform .
