Thyagraj

Meet Thyagraj, a shining example of strength and creativity from Bengaluru. Despite using a wheelchair due to a locomotor disability, Thyagraj's spirit knows no limits. His mother's deep love and determination helped him overcome early challenges, such as carrying him 2 kilometres to school every day because they couldn't afford a wheelchair. Though many suggested he work at a xerox shop where he could sit all day, Thyagraj had bigger dreams.

He began his career as a marketing analyst at a leading company, where he worked for six years. In 2014, he followed his true passion and founded 'Thyagraj Pictures,' making films that have touched many hearts and earned him 32 awards.?

Thyagraj's love for art extends beyond filmmaking. Founder of "Kalasourabha," a school where he teaches painting to both kids and adults, he displays how art can break all barriers. Every script he writes and every class he teaches embodies his powerful belief: "He can't stand, but the entire world gives him a standing ovation."

Paintings on the theme of 'India'

While paintings are primarily visual, for some of us, they come alive through descriptions. Let's delve into these vibrant artworks in detail!

Painting 1:

A woman in traditional Indian attire, wearing a light green scarf and a saffron colored top, smiles softly. Her friendly eyes and joyful demeanor are highlighted by her vibrant bangles and a blurred background, capturing the warmth and charm of traditional Indian dress.

Painting 2:

A lively festival scene from West Bengal, featuring three women in white sarees with red borders, dancing with lamps in front of a golden sun or moon. A man playing a 'dhol' drum adds to the festive atmosphere, with a green background enhancing the joyful celebration.

Painting 3:

A vibrant portrayal of a Kathakali dancer's face, adorned with bright orange and red hues, intricate designs, and a distinctive crown. The large, expressive eyes stand out against the dark background, emphasizing the beauty and tradition of Kerala's famous dance form.

Painting 4:

Two contrasting yet harmonious scenes: on the left, blooming pink lotus flowers against a bright blue background; on the right, a woman wearing a colorful Kathakali mask. The artwork beautifully blends the natural beauty of the lotus with the cultural richness of Kerala's traditional dance.
