E-A-R Model in action

How are organisations practising the E-A-R ( empathy-adaptability- resilience) model during these times?

I will be sharing best practises of three organisations everyday, this week. (These organisations are best-place-to-work certified).

1) Supplying Essentials!

Against the backdrop of the global Covid-19 outbreak, Blue Dart has mobilized its Business Contingency and Continuity Plan (BCCP), including pandemic operating plans, and is implementing preventive actions as appropriate to ensure the least disruption in their services. Their Quick Response Team, is working 24x7 towards mitigating potential impacts while ensuring continuity of the supply chain across the nation. Their six 757 Boeing freighters are operating day and night delivering testing kits, reagents, enzymes, medical equipment (ventilators), N95 respirators and surgical masks, gloves, & other items requisitioned by State Governments and healthcare organizations. They are continuously monitoring and responding to the various situational challenges keeping the interest of customers, employees, and community paramount. Vital updates and necessary information is being provided to their customers and employees on precautionary measures and permissible guidelines to operate safely across geographies during the lockdown.

2) All-Hands Meetings!

To keep consistency in all communication during working remotely and also to make their employees feel heard, Flatirons Solutions has been organising global and regional all-hands meetings. The region-wise meetings are scheduled once a month and are chaired by the respective Country Heads. The global meetings are also scheduled regularly. This is to provide a unique platform to the employees for asking questions and hearing from their global leadership team directly. The employees are encouraged to ask any and all questions that come to their minds.

3) Health Committee!

To keep a check on the health of all employees and take timely decisions accordingly, Aye Finance has set up Aye Health Committee (AHC) also called CART – COVID APEX RESPONSE TEAM. It comprises of department heads from different verticals since a cross-functional team can present various perspectives from employee and business end. AHC is spearheaded by Aye's Managing Director for quick and decisive actions. The committee connects every day through video conferencing to discuss happenings in the country on the outbreak and Aye's preparedness for the same. A health status update of employees is also shared with the AHC every day by the HR team. Any new step in these times is first discussed with AHC before getting implemented. The committee also sends regular updates on steps/initiatives taken in the fight against the virus. Every communication released to employees carries a tone of prevention without making the employees fearful.

Do share with us, what is your organisation doing to practise the E-A-R Model.
