Scenario:
Imagine you have uploaded an opening balance for GL, Vendor, or Customer, but made a major mistake during the upload process. Now, you need to delete all the journal lines.
Common Method: The traditional approach involves selecting all the lines manually and hitting the delete button. However, this can be very time-consuming, especially if the journal contains a large number of lines. For example, if a general journal has 500 lines, manually deleting all of them could be tedious
With the Feature Enabled: To address this, Microsoft Dynamics provides a more efficient solution. You need to enable the "Delete journal lines" feature in Feature Management.
Once enabled, the Delete journal lines option becomes available under the Functions menu in the journal header.
I am using the same example and this time I will use the batch job to delete all the lines.
After clicking on this functionality with the feature you can set the batch job for deleting the journal lines
After a couple of minutes when you refresh the page, all the lines will be deleted.
In this example, the feature was used in General Journals, but it’s worth noting that this option is also available in most other financial journals.
