Dynamic, Comparative Analysis of Test Data using Excel

A couple of years ago, a colleague & I were trying to figure out efficient ways to compare data sets from the experiments executed at our workplace. Often times, engineers found themselves plotting multiple separate excel charts to compare parameters, over more than a dozens tests. All with an aim to figure out the hidden mysteries that the numbers hid, which in turn held the key to a successful diagnosis of a system's performance.

This time consuming & sometimes brain numbing exercise, pushed us to try multiple methods until one involving transformation of our data to make best use of Excel's pivot table option, made a significant shift in the way our organization analyses this kind of data.

I created a video that explains the process in a step by step process.

Please note, that this was created with a specific format of test data in mind. But with a bit of tweaking, can suit most comparative data analysis problems
