During the evolution of terrestrial arthropods, the number of legs have been reduced.

During the evolution of terrestrial arthropods, the number of legs have been reduced.

Another one of my predictions about the evolutionary process, is about the evolutionary process of arthropods.

I have predicted that in the future, a new class of arthropods will arise, which will have four legs. If we study the evolutionary process of terrestrial arthropods, we see that the newer classes has fewer legs.

Millipede: first appear in 428 mya (have many legs)

Centipede: first appear in 410 mya (have less legs than millipede)

Arachnid: first appear in 350 mya (have 8 legs)

Insects: first appear in 300 mya (have 6 legs)

New class: first appear in 60 mya (have 4 legs)

Definition of leg: The lower extremity of the animals that is in direct contact with the ground in standing or walking. A limb that used especially for supporting the body and for walking and crawling. Modified legs, are not leg. Mantis is 4-legged not 6-legged.

There are four-legged arthropods now. Scientists have classified them as insects. But these arthropods are not insects. They are the first species of a new class that have arisen.

Over time, 4-legged arthropods number will be increased gradually. 4-legged arthropods are not insects. They are new classes. New class of arthropods is forming and appearance. This new class derived from the insects’ class. The Praying Mantis, the Mantis-flies and the Ochthera are the first species of this new class.
