During COVID My Superstar Leaders Aren't Looking...

Hospital Human Resource Departments and Execs I hope you are listening closely.
Just because it is precarious times and many hospitals are downsizing, cutting salaries, furloughing, losing resources, and even closing doesn't mean that your Superstars aren't looking.
Even if your hospital is handling things better than the status quo or local competition.
Your Superstars are still probably open to entertaining options.
The challenge with Covid is that so many Executives and hospital organizations are focusing on putting out fires, and maybe even firing leaders, mass downsizing middle management staff, and more.
They are forgetting to not just check in with their Superstars, but to truly engage them.
Employee Engagement cannot be overstated....especially in the healthcare field....especially NOW!
"Crisis reveals character."
Just like in a good marriage you gain more respect, fall more in love, and are more invested after you see your partner show up through trying times, the same goes in the workplace.
Most leaders I talk to only have time to send a text message.
My mentor always says a healthy relationship has 3 pillars: Investment, Intimacy, and Communication. Without 1 of these 3, it fails.
Check in with your pillars. How are you showing up for your Superstars?
Because if they leave now, you will probably be even more over your head than before.
