Durant Auto Storage is Complete

Durant Auto Storage, located in Hudson Oaks, is now complete.  The garage, totaling more than 155,000 SF, includes steel, concrete and stone - along with perforated panels acting as the “skin” of the structure.

The perforated metal not only offers shade from the sun and severe weather, it surrounds the structure, creating security.  All spaces on all levels are covered, and the garage can hold 460 cars.  If need be, they can get up to 800 cars inside.

If you look along the front of the garage, you’ll see an active waterfall.  Sound a little crazy?  There’s good reason for this ... not only is it esthetically pleasing, it can channel the runoff from heavy rains without flooding the garage or its surroundings.

Jerry Durant should be commended for his foresight and planning on this project.  Rather than build a massive, flat parking lot to house his inventory, he built up.  This offers superior protection without wasting land and resources. In addition, because Hudson Oaks is a smaller community, a large parking lot wouldn’t earn a nickel in sales tax for the city.

It has been a pleasure to create this structure for Mr. Durant.  We wish him and his auto group continued success.
