tldr: Duolingo has promoted Ryan Sims to its newly created role of Chief Design Officer, highlighting the company's focus on design innovation and user experience.
Key Points:
Why this matters:
I had a rare opportunity to collaborate with Duolingo in 2020-2021 while at CMB. We had the same investors. I was impressed by their obsession with testing and experimentation at the time. Their onboarding, gamification, and product loops are best-in-class examples for B2C startups.
So, it’s important news that they just hired their first CDO. Duolingo’s promotion of Ryan Sims to Chief Design Officer underscores the company’s commitment to elevating design as a core component of its strategy. With Sims' extensive background and proven track record, Duolingo aims to enhance its user experience further, making language learning even more engaging and effective for its global user base.

ChatPLG First Look ??
The official soft launch of my most recent project, ChatPLG.ai! ??
I plan to launch on Product Hunt and other platforms in the upcoming days, but I wanted to share this exciting news with subscribers first.
I created ChatPLG, an on-demand Product-Led Growth expert who will help you craft winning PLG strategies and strengthen your product.
After years of studying user activation, monetization, and growth, I created ChatPLG to offer entrepreneurs and startup founders unique value that doesn’t exist in today’s market. I wanted to put something useful into the world that isn’t just another ebook. There are many PLG resources, but this is the first free GPT of its kind, and I think there is already a case to be made that this is the most advanced product co-pilot available.

How does it work?
ChatPLG will fast-track your strategy. Use it as a boilerplate to bootstrap docs and revise existing products and features. ChatPLG is also a great general product coach and brainstorming buddy.
With ChatPLG, you can:
I've been sitting on this idea for a while and am thrilled to offer it for free.
I would LOVE to hear how ChatPLG works for you, where I could improve it, and when it sounds like a lame generic chatbot. Tell your friends about it! Give it a test drive, and let me know what you think!

Tips for managing Chrome tabs
Before you ask, yes, I tried Arc, but I’m not sold.
Here are the two ways I manage my tabs in Chrome:
Workona
I’ve been using Workona for several years. When managing multiple workspaces, using Workona is a no-brainer!
Workona includes a Chrome extension, making saving and organizing resources easy.
Chrome Tab Groups
More recently, I’ve been also using Chrome Groups
You can group tabs to keep related pages together in one workspace. To create a tab group, just right-click any tab and select Add tab to new group.
Here is my current view with Workona pinned and my Chrome group tabs across the top:
