Dune: Ornithopter mystery
I love SF movies. But watching people debunking SF movies is sometimes even more fun.
Today I want to debunk the debunking of the Dune's Ornithopter.
So. In these videos, everybody is talking about the mechanical stresses in the Ornithopter frame and the impossible power those Science Fiction blades/engines should have.
But, what if there will be no mechanical stresses and no engines to move the blades?
What if instead of engines moving the blades, we would put powerful Electromagnets/coils inside the blades/wings?
The Blades will attract and repel with "infinite" power and speed.
And as an extra precaution, the "fovea capitis head" of the wings will be located inside another powerful electromagnet that will allow the head bearings to move without touching the frame - will be locked and suspended inside an electromagnetic field: no vibrations, no heat transfer, no friction...

Maybe SF is not so SF ... anymore.
