Duke “Unleashed”:A Dog’s Secrets to Corporate Success and Personal Fulfillment

Hi! I’m Duke.

I am the luckiest dog in the whole world. I used to have a hard life and I lived outside and it was hot hot hot. I don’t know why the people were always mad at me but their voices were always mad and sad.? I felt so sorry for them.? If they would play with me they would feel better.? If they would pet me they would feel better. I just know it. But it all worked out because even though it took a while, my people finally found me, and I rescued them. Now I bark a lot and run around in circles. I am happy happy happy.

I know you are wondering why I have overtaken Vanessa’s Unplugged.? I have asked her to rename it UNLEASHED.?She said no. No is not my favorite word. I’m pretty sure NO is not Vanessa’s favorite word. Maybe that’s why she loves me...neither of us is good at hearing the word no.

Dogs hold the secret to great companies and to personal fulfillment. We have convinced Vanessa to let us share our secret with her LinkedIn friends.?

My best friend Violet (may she rest in peace) used to go to the office with Vanessa every day and help all the people there with the secret.?Violet was wise like Yoda and she helped Vanessa Ogle and the team at Enseo grow their business like crazy. They grew amazing employees who loved their jobs and had lots of fun, but today is my turn.

My job is to help my person Paul Bullock . We spend our days together at Bullock Guitars making the music sticks. I love watching Paul make the music sticks and I love it when my people make music with our magic sticks. ?It makes me happy.?

Do you ever get distracted? Sometimes I get distracted.?Now they have a name for getting easily distracted. SDD (Squirrel Deficit Disorder) There is a pill for it. A BALL. I must focus.

Duke’s Secrets to Corporate Success and Happy Life

#1 Find your people

Once you find your people, your life will always have meaning. ?I’m sorry to tell you this but YOUR people may not be the first people you remember.? Sometimes you have to keep looking until you find YOUR people, or they find you.? You will know.?

#2 Share your joy

I always feel better when I share my joy.? Then they share their joy back with me and we all feel EVEN MORE JOY. Karma the dog says it’s a ?math thing. ?I’m not sure what that means, but math is REAL important. Joy is more important than math and that’s all I have to say about that.

#3 Come home often??

Even when you go exploring, home is the happiest place.? Especially when the skunk doesn’t want to play. ?I always feel sad for the skunk. ?Why doesn’t he want to play? I have noticed that sometimes people at work are like skunks and they stink. Don’t let them get you down. Just go home to your people and they will wash off the stink and then give you a belly rub.

Now come ON!! Who doesn’t love belly rubs?

I know I’m at home because I feel at peace. ?I will sum up: Go home,Let go of the STINK and feel at peace.

#4 Sing in your loudest voice?

Sing in your loudest voice when you are happy and when you are sad. Cause when you share, you feel better. ?Also when you are surrounded by your people it makes them happy to celebrate with you or cheer you up. When your people do something especially good that is a great time to sing extra loud to celebrate them. Everyone appreciates being celebrated.
