Dublin FORMAT is our annual printer demonstration, after some post-event considerations here are the five key takeaways from the show:

1. Tools for finishing are important for wide format workflows. This year we had the EWS table on display and these types of tools are excellent for developing your print business. The EWS Workstation is designed to be the most user-friendly and ergonomic workstation on the market.
2. Print finishing is alive and well - if you want a great example of one step automation take a look at the 'Swiss Army Knife' of print finishing; the Duplo Docucutter. 3. The evolution of ink technology in wide format printing continues, with Resin and UV ink coming more to the fore. The new TrueVIS Resin Inks combine all the quick-drying and high-productivity advantages of resin with improved image quality and colour. 4. We had a lot of interest in the new UV DTF Printer from Inktec, which is ideal for adding designs to a myriad of promotional items. Using ultraviolet curing technology, this printing approach enables designs to be easily transferred directly onto hard objects. DTF demand also continues to grow with easy printing and application to garments, like t-shirts etc.
