When Dubai South was launched in 2006, our wise leadership envisioned it as a global powerhouse in the aviation and logistics sectors, complemented by diverse residential offerings. Today, I am filled with immense pride as I witness how far we have come.

Ongoing investments in Dubai South’s infrastructure remain steadfast, with approximately AED 2 billion allocated annually. Furthermore, the commencement of construction for the new Al Maktoum International Airport passenger terminals further reinforces the significant economic benefits to come.

Recently, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the cultural district project within the Azizi Venice development in Dubai South. This project aligns with the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy and will significantly contribute to the city’s economic growth. The district, which will feature an opera house, is set to attract tourists, visitors, and residents alike, adding even greater demand for Dubai South as a thriving destination.

Another key project that was announced by His Highness is the expansion plan for the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. This center is expected to become a key hub for global exhibitions and events, particularly as the airport’s completion is anticipated to generate considerable business activity in Dubai South in the coming years.

These two major developments underscore the government’s vision for Dubai South and its tremendous potential in the years ahead. Demand for residences in the area has surged in recent years, with property prices witnessing up to a 30% increase following the airport's announcement.
