Dubai Offsite 2024 | PhiX Technologies

We kicked off our team offsite in Dubai to set the roadmap for the new year and create an environment where everyone could voice their thoughts, ask questions, and contribute together.

The event was held at the beautiful Palm and provided an opportunity for us to strengthen our team spirit and collectively shape the year ahead.

Remembering the Human Side of Tech ??

The first day unfolded gently, allowing everyone to settle in and catch their breath. With team members flying in from all corners of the globe, this was our moment to shift gears from the high-speed daily grind to a slower pace.

The agenda was a mix of business, relaxation and fun, from optimising how we work to beachside cricket and team dinners; every activity was met with an open mind and a tenacious spirit.???

Unforgettable Moments ??

One particular evening stood out as we celebrated the birthdays of our team mates Wojciech Maczkowski and Justin Wheatley . What started as a casual dinner ended with an impromptu performance on an empty restaurant stage.

Watching our colleagues showcase their hidden talents was pure joy! Who knew we had the makings of a band in our midst - singing, dancing, drum playing! It was truly a night to remember.

There was camaraderie and support during the hoverboard lessons too where the team cheered others on from the pier, and despite several wipeouts - the boarders never gave up!

For the rest of us, who preferred to stay on land, we opted for a stunning sunset bike ride along the boardwalk to soak in the last rays of the day before dinner.?

Learning and Growing Together ??

Between the fun, we deep-dived into our QA Test Strategy, Delivery Methodology, and GTM Plan for 2024. Hearing Ashim Upadhyaya and Bishwendra Singh explain the pivotal role of Quality Assurance in our projects and Wayne Crewe walk us through our Delivery Methodology was inspiring. Reading about these strategies in an email is one thing, but hearing them in person, you could feel the energy in the room and the passion in their eyes. It made all the difference.?

Bringing Sales & Marketing together and delivering our GTM strategy was another personal highlight - lots of companies struggle with that alignment, so it was critical to Luke Pigott , our CEO and me, Claire Pankhurst , as Head of Marketing & Partnerships, that we were aligned. The update was both realistic, ambitious and exciting - giving the team clarity on our focus areas, resource investment and the upcoming marketing program priorities.?

Values in Action

Samantha Bodycomb , our CFO, brought us back to our core, reminding us of the guiding principles and values that underpin our daily work. This offsite was a living testament to those values, from transparent discussions about our plans to respectful collaboration across different cultures and teams.

Applause for our 2023 PhiX awardees, Kaushal Gautam , Kunal Ghai , Likhitha K. and Mahesh Patel , who showcased our values earning them well-deserved recognition.?

The PhiXovator/Innovation award went to Kaushal, Kunal took home the PhiXookie/Rookie of the Year award and Likhitha received the PhiXvangelist award for being an evangelist of our values. Mahesh received the highly coveted PhiXer of the Year award for his dedication and commitment to the company.?

Everyone appreciated the leadership team's transparency, the chance to challenge, and the opportunity to contribute to our plans for the new year.?

The Journey Ahead ??

As we said our goodbyes, we left with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared commitment to our goals. We know that scaling our Salesforce Revenue Cloud SI (Systems Integrator) company is no small feat, but that's what makes it so exciting. Delivering success for our clients and partners is our mission, and we're going all in!
