Dubai Land Department Qualifies 166 Young Emirati Citizens in Real Estate Brokers Programme

In a significant step towards bolstering the local real estate sector, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has successfully qualified 166 young Emirati citizens through its Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme. Launched earlier this year as part of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, the programme aims to empower national talent and elevate the emirate's real estate market.

The qualification ceremony, held at Emirates Towers Boulevard, was graced by distinguished attendees, including Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General for the Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Well-Being Pillar. The event also saw the presence of Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director General of Dubai Land Department, along with various government officials and strategic partners.

Commitment to National Talent and Economic Growth

Speaking at the event, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi highlighted the alignment of the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He underscored the programme's role in equipping Emirati youth with global skills and practices, thereby contributing to Dubai's comprehensive development journey and the creation of a competitive economy.

"The Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme aligns with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It harnesses resources for empowering national competencies to enhance contribution to Dubai's comprehensive development journey. This initiative supports the creation of a competitive economy that meets the aspirations and vision we have," said Al Gergawi.

Strategic Governmental Goals and Human Capital Investment

Mattar Al Tayer praised the Dubai Land Department's dedication to providing high-level training and empowerment for citizen brokers. He emphasized the government's commitment to investing in human capital, a fundamental asset for society's growth, and its alignment with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy.

"This collaboration with private sector partners, who have shown significant support, is in line with strategic governmental goals. The government has consistently worked to create an environment conducive to investing in human capital, recognizing it as the fundamental asset of society," stated Al Tayer.

Celebrating National Talent

Marwan bin Ghalita expressed pride in the newly qualified Emiratis, recognizing their dedication to enhancing their skills in real estate brokerage. He reiterated the DLD's commitment to empowering national talent and its continuous collaboration with partners to invest in the national workforce.

"We are pleased today to heap praise on an elite group of Emiratis and ambitious professionals who have shown dedication in enhancing their skills and expertise in the real estate sector, particularly in real estate brokerage," said bin Ghalita.

Programme Highlights and Future Directions

The 166 participants completed three training courses offered by the New Economy Academy, making them the first graduates of the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme. The initiative aims to increase the percentage of citizen brokers to 15% over the next three years, ensuring their continued contribution to the sector's growth and leadership.

The ceremony also honored the programme's strategic partners, which include 28 developers, brokers, and technical partners. These partnerships are crucial in supporting the programme's goals and the broader objectives of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which seeks to enhance local employment, productivity, and economic contribution.

Conclusion

The Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme represents a significant investment in the future of Dubai's real estate sector and its national talent. By equipping young Emiratis with cutting-edge skills and knowledge, the programme not only enhances individual career prospects but also strengthens the overall economic fabric of the emirate. As Dubai continues to forge ahead on its path of growth and innovation, initiatives like these will play a pivotal role in shaping a prosperous and sustainable future.
