In contrast to the expansive field of man-made solar panels, the courtyard of this control center for one of Europe’s largest solar farms in Karapinar, Turkey, aims to bring a sense of human scale and nature to the landscape. Named Central Control Building, it is designed to monitor and control the expansive field of 3.2 million solar panels.

The plant is capable of providing 3 billion kWh of energy output, making it Turkey's largest single source of solar electricity. It is expected to meet 2 million people's annual domestic requirements while reducing carbon emissions by 1.5M tons each year. The Karapinar solar project alone was responsible for a 20% increase in the percentage of solar power stations in Turkey. (via Dezeen )
