The first quarter of 2024 was highlighted by upcoming additions?to?the world-class collection of cultural institutions on Bunker Hill, with the Colburn School breaking ground on the new Frank Gehry-designed music hall and dance studio building, and The Broad announcing a 55,000 SF expansion of its property, that will increase their gallery and exhibition space by 70%. More welcome news arrived with the re-opening of the former Ace Hotel as STILE by Kasa, another addition to the growing roster of “home sharing style” hospitality properties. Finally, Downtown’s restaurant revival, which has added over 100 new food and beverage establishments since the pandemic, saw eight new arrivals including Villa’s Tacos at Grand Central Market and 33 Taps at The AC & Moxy Hotel, the largest sports bar in DTLA.
