DTLA Hospitality Report
Our inaugural Hospitality Report explores why Downtown has become THE place to stay when visiting Los Angeles. Since the beginning of the Downtown Renaissance in 1999, DTLA has experienced tremendous growth in residents, an influx of new dining and nightlife establishments, and the opening of several major arts & culture destinations. Alongside these developments, DTLA has become a major center for hospitality and tourism. Since 1999, the number of hotel rooms has doubled to over 10,000 with the arrival of a variety of new brands and concepts.
People choose to stay in DTLA for many reasons, but chief among them are its walkability, density and diversity of experiences, and the easy access it provides to the rest of the region. Another significant driver of visitation?to Downtown is the volume and variety of spaces for conventions, events, and meetings, anchored by the LA Convention Center.?These are some of the many reasons that Downtown will play a starring role when LA welcomes the world for the LA 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
