DTEK Group initiates a public debate entitled "Ukraine: accelerator of decarbonization in Europe" during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos
DTEK Group strongly believes that the Ukrainian issue should also be central to the global leaders' discussions during the WEF in Davos. For this reason, DTEK takes an active position and initiates a public debate entitled "Ukraine: accelerator of decarbonization in Europe". The event will illustrate that Ukraine is in a strong position to contribute to faster transition of the EU towards renewables. At the same time, it will help Europe derussify Europe’s energy supplies faster. Tryfonivska SPP, the first liberated renewables facilities, resumes electricity generation after de-occupation
Liberated from the occupiers, the Tryfonivska SPP is gradually resuming the production of electricity in the energy system of Ukraine, including providing energy needs of settlements in the Kherson region. As a result of preliminary inspections, about 20% of the solar panels were damaged. DTEK Group is making efforts so that the station can operate at 70% capacity by the beginning of spring.
DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored electricity to more than 60,000 households over the course of a week
During the last week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 91 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 62,836 households in the frontline region. Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. The situation in the region remains very difficult. 100 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Energy’s mines are working to their maximum capacity to cover coal needs of Ukrainian TPPs
In the conditions of ongoing war, DTEK Energy’s mines are working to their maximum capacity to support reliable operation of Ukraine’s energy system, particularly, to satisfy coal needs of thermal power plants.?or this purpose, the company’s coal mining companies put some 28 new coal faces into operation back in the year 2022. DTEK Energy has procured the fuel not only to their generic TPPs, but also found the opportunity to support the state-owned generation facilities. Thus, DTEK Energy delivered more than 120 thousand tons of coal to the state-owned TPPs in order to ensure their reliable operation during the current heating season.
Russia attacked DTEK Energo TPP facilities for the 25th time
On January 6, due to enemy shelling, one of the energy enterprises of DTEK Energo, which Russian troops had repeatedly attacked, was damaged. This time, fortunately, no one was hurt. As a result of the shelling, the company's equipment was damaged. After the end of the attack, the power industry quickly began to eliminate its consequences and restore the operation of the equipment. In September - January, energy enterprises of DTEK Energo were attacked 25 times already. 26 energy workers were injured, and three died. There were also deaths and injuries among workers of contracting organizations and rescuers.
