THERMAL POWER PLANT ATTACKED AGAIN
On the morning of May 5, one of DTEK Energy's thermal power plants was once again damaged by intense shelling. This is the second attack on the plant in the last few days. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties. The attack severely damaged the plant's equipment. DTEK Energy continues to do everything possible to maintain the reliable operation of the Ukrainian energy system in the face of enemy attacks. The company is synchronizing its actions with NEC Ukrenergo. Since September last year, DTEK Energy's energy companies have been attacked 32 times.
OVER FOUR MONTHS OF THIS YEAR, DTEK ENERGY'S TPPS GENERATED 4.5 BILLION KWH OF ELECTRICITY FOR THE UKRAINIAN POWER GRID
Amid the war and enemy attacks, DTEK Energy's thermal generation continues to support the stability of the Ukrainian power system with its balancing capacities. In January-April this year, the company's TPPs generated almost 4.5 billion kWh of electricity for the Ukrainian power grid. These volumes are equivalent to the average consumption of about 1.5 million households for a whole year.

"Power engineers are intensively preparing for the upcoming heating season and continue to eliminate the consequences of russian attacks and restore equipment after hundreds of enemy missiles and drones. DTEK's thermal generation has been attacked 32 times since September. Today, more than UAH 6.5 billion is needed to repair the damaged and destroyed equipment at the TPPs alone," said Ildar Saleev, CEO of DTEK Energy.
ELECTRICITY RESTORED TO 112,000 FAMILIES IN DONETSK AND DNIPROPETROVSK REGIONS
Over the course of seven days, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have restored operation of power equipment for 109,000 families in Donetsk and 2,500 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.
“For 439 days our specialists are holding the energy front, restoring electricity in the most difficult conditions. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 7.6 million families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. The most difficult situation is in the Donetsk region, where some settlements require repair of the grids, destroyed by shelling, on a daily basis,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
