I’m afraid Homes under the Hammer and This Morning will both be affected by this. The World Cup, or “football season” as every non-sponsoring brand will refer to it is upon us and everyone will be having a slice. Here’s a?very cool animation?from brfootball to get you in the mood ahead of kick off on Sunday at 4pm.
This is a very fun emoji-themed trend mainly driven by some lo-fi animation and auto-voiceover. A lot of them are family arguments featuring step mums, I’ve got no idea why. Others are like teen dramas featuring ninjas, vaping and spin the bottle -?like this one.

Take Crazy by Gnarls Barkley and over-sing it. That’s how I’d summarise this singing challenge. This guy claims to the?OG singer?of this over 2 years ago, with 1.2B views it just shows how massive these challenges can be. Here’s someone singing it?badly with their gran?which is arguably more entertaining.
It should be illegal to put your tree up this early but it hasn’t stopped Christmas Trees trending. I imagine this one will have more legs as we get closer to the official date of 1st December to put your tree up (enshrined in moral law). MickmickNYC filmed the?Rockefeller tree going up?a few days ago, looking rather mangy.

There’s a reverse feature on CapCut that everyone seems to be enjoying. Some people?pretend?to go backwards, which is really not very funny. Other people create tutorials to make your own (like this magic one) - the only problem is you need to download their TikTok and play it backwards in CapCut to enjoy it.

Something cool about?TikTok?we read???
Big brands are tapping into the?musical viral potential of TikTok?by commissioning original songs to help them lead challenges and get some hits on the platform. Pepsi did it this summer with a track to support their #pepsisodashop campaign, a cover of Footloose. I’m a cynic for any brand that thinks they can buy their way into culture—the more they spend the more contrived it feels.
#PepsiSodaShop?has 73M views in total. It sounds a lot but on TikTok it’s really not. A lot of the videos are posted from Pepsi themselves and others are by big influencers like Dojacat. The ad $$$ spend compared to what was achieved can’t be good reading. We believe brands can ride culture and join in, but leave trends to the TikTok gods.
