Drought concerns
In recent days, we’ve discussed the dryness that could impact winter wheat, especially in Texas. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released its latest drought forecast , and the news was troubling (to say the least). Drought conditions are expected to creep into Texas, Oklahoma, and even Kansas during the key period for winter wheat. These states typically account for nearly 40 (think: Tuukka Rask) percent of the nation’s winter-wheat production. This makes the crop’s margin of error even smaller. And this could impact cattle and feed supplies if the drought continues to spread. From The Maloni Report and www.AmericanRestaurantAssociation.com.
