A Drop in the Ocean

Sadly, it is a drop in the ocean, and it lacks vision, we need joined-up thinking, so often the UK schemes are so limited, that any idea that does more than one thing are exempted or you get a little funding for a little of a scheme.
Many great ideas are ignored. If we could get a bigger better scheme funded, and we're allowed to highlight the benefits to the NHS, the savings to the DHSC, the benefit to our International Balance of Trade Payments, the increase in our fuel security, the benefit to our food security, the reduction in food and fuel poverty, better educational outcomes, a reduction in lost days to industry and in lost days in education. Only then the true value of a more comprehensive scheme can we realised..
We have in the UK £5 trillion of housing, 29 million homes, is less than £10 a meter point going to do anything, no, of course not.
The Government announced a scheme of £9,5 billion, which basically give interest fee loans to people that don't need it and to those with debt on their meters, those that are in need, it will be absorbed by old debt, just helping energy companies recover money owed to them

As to the Council Tax £150, that is blackmail to sign up to the Direct Debit scheme It will be basically swallowed up by the first payment of 2022/23 of people's Council Tax or their existing debt. Neither of the two stands of the £9,5 bn will help those in fuel poverty.
We have to start thinking differently, we have to start planning for 30 years, not just to the next council elections or next general elections.
We buy houses on a 25 year mortgage commitment, we get married foe life, yet our energy, social, health policies that affect us all, are so short-term, and that generates massive administrative burdens and huge financial burdens
Again, joined-up thinking and planning is needed
