Drop It...
Hi.
Welcome back.
Last week I encouraged you to delete the apps
You can read that article here (see the GREAT comments from other people reading and sharing -- please add yours there too!).
This was ONE actionable tip
Good start.
Now for a tough request....
The Problem:?My Mind Spins
This week, imagine you and I are still "just" hanging out.
We loved wherever we met last week and decided to go back there together.
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I deleted stuff off my phone. Still. Freaking. Swamped."
Not Urgent.
Not Important.
Remember that from last week?
Cool.
Your mind could be spinning because there is a LOT of stuff in that lower right corner.
Really.
Look at all that stuff you wrote down (well, if it's not all listed IMAGINE it OR take a moment and brain dump
DISCLAIMER: If your mind is spinning and you need professional help
The Actionable Tip: Drop It
OK.
First.

It's not easy to do (well, for me at least).
Spoiler Alert
You. Must. Do. This.
NOT URGENT.
NOT IMPORTANT.
Let it go.
Delete it.
Say No.
AND MEAN IT (TO YOURSELF).
Watch the magic that happens when you clear your mind
And you just drop it.
Really.
What if that lower right quadrant was empty.
Wow.
Completely Zen, huh? (smile)
And maybe out of my own reach in reality too.
Your Next Step...
Think about the problem I've described and my actionable tip above.
Here is the part where?I need YOU to contribute YOUR actionable tip?for others who are reading this short article....
Please share ONE actionable tip in the comments below about what benefit you've seen by dropping the stuff in NOT URGENT - NOT IMPORTANT.
Go.
Thank you.

2 年LOVE the Eisenhower matrix. The biggest place that NU/NI shows up for me is email. I use SaneBox and train everything but the essentials to go to two auxiliary boxes Sane Later and Sane News. It's so good that I can ignore Sane News for days and not miss anything important. It also allows me to highlight and delete these emails out of my life in about 15 seconds.
