The DRM Digital Radio Consortium will have a strong presence at ABU DBS 2025 on February 24-27. It is twenty years after the conference and exhibition were launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a way for broadcasters to help their fellow broadcasters go digital, with the support of the broadcasting industry. The Digital Broadcasting Symposium, as one of the region’s leading events for the broadcasting and media industry, attracts close to 1,500 participants annually, representing over 350 organisations across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
This year the DRM Consortium will be present with one workshop and several presentations at DBS.
A broad and engaging workshop with the title “DRM – One Frequency for All Bands and Needs” will be a unique experience to learn and share practical information on the implementation of the preeminent digital broadcasting standard in the Asia-Pacific region. Top experts Alexander Zink and Dr. Albert Waal will be the workshop presenters on February 25th?at 2 p.m. MST.
The next day on February 26th at 1100 MST 11:00 – 12:30 a.m. in Session 6 | Advancement in Broadcasting Standards & Technologies, Ruxandra Obreja , DRM Chairman will address the question: Introducing Digital Radio – Is the Clock Ticking?, while Alexander Zink, Vice-Chair DRM Consortium will give the presentation?“DRM Digital Radio – Creating Value for Listeners and Broadcasters”.
