DRM Update for Brazil – Also in Portuguese

Recently the DRM Digital Radio Chairman, Ruxandra Obreja , and the DRM Technical Committee Chairman, Johannes von Weyssenhoff , participated in a virtual digital radio workshop for Brazil, organised by ZYDIGITAL , a company led by Marco Túlio Nascimento , a known expert in the large Brazilian radio community. The 150 participants representing the Brazilian radio market, were highly appreciative of the presentations given by top experts representing DRM and two other international standards. A large number of the attendees work in the main economic regions of Brazil.

Though the radio digitisation in Brazil is still nowhere near the hopes expressed when the process, tests and demonstrations started more than 20 years ago, the workshop attendees expressed strong and renewed interest in Brazil’s adoption of digital radio now.
