As lesson plans have wrapped up and holiday activities fill the air, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year of inspiring growth, empowering connections, and transformative learning.

This year, SSA provided 2,540,415 minutes of service to students across the U.S. That’s 43 school years’ worth of time with our students!

In total, we worked with 20,000+ students this year, with more than 9,400 of them being new to SSA this fall.

?? Speakers that Inspire

This summer, we invited two new youth motivational speakers to join our Speaker-in-Residency program. Chakina Watkins and Terrell Carter joined forces with speakers Cynthia Amoah and Chris Williams , creating an electrifying lineup of motivational powerhouses. Since then, this dream team has spoken at 80+ schools across 12 states and to more than 21,000 students. From coast to coast, they’re igniting students’ ambitions, inspiring them to dream big, and showing them how to make the most of everything the Student Success Agency has to offer. ?? Continued Work with GEAR UP Grows

Student Success Agency is proud to be a leading provider for the GEAR UP/ National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) community, providing unwavering support to middle school and high school students nationwide. This year, we worked with 17 GEAR UP programs and 7 school districts, expanding our services to now 23 states nationwide.

From tailored mentoring to academic success strategies, these partnerships are a cornerstone of our mission, and we can’t wait to see them flourish further in 2025.

?? Leveling up at Summer Camp 2024

This summer, SSA hosted its 7th annual summer camp in Prescott, Arizona, bringing together 200+ high school juniors and seniors from Arizona GEAR UP and Nevada GEAR UP. It marked a significant milestone as it was one of SSA’s largest to date and the first to unite two GEAR UP programs.?

During three unforgettable days, students participated in engaging games, team-building activities, and leadership development workshops designed to inspire and empower. The collaboration fostered a dynamic sense of community and created meaningful connections that left a lasting impact.

?? Our Next Wave of Change Makers

As we look to the future, we’re thrilled to launch the Change Agent Institute in 2025. This two-year fellowship program empowers high-performing college students to mentor high school students while building their own leadership skills.

These Agents will be the bridge between SSA and students, serving as mentors, coaches, and role models to help students unlock their full potential. We can’t wait to welcome our new cohort and see the difference they make.

We’re also thrilled to announce the launch of our Specialist Career Experts as part of this exciting transition! Students will now have exclusive access to top professionals from a wide range of industries, giving them the chance to hear firsthand about the careers and journeys of those who are truly excelling in their fields.

From students and parents to teachers and partners, Student Success Agency is deeply grateful for the incredible support we’ve received in 2024. Here’s to an even brighter 2025 filled with more milestones, connections, and student success.
