IoT Security Innovation delivered by JT and Cellusys IOT

With the rapid growth of IoT devices globally, IoT security is the chief concern of most Enterprises and the Mobile Operators who support them. News about car hacks, security breaches via IoT devices and information theft are renowned and naturally generating great concern industry-wide. As a result, the GSMA and ENISA are pushing for better security within mobile networks. Today JT and Cellusys IOT, announce the launch of a new strategic partnership to deliver unique and innovative solutions across all verticals of Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

JT and Cellusys’ IoT security Innovation enables enterprise customers to actually see and manage their cellular connectivity security via an IoT Security Dashboard: alarms can be triggered in case of attacks and enhanced security filters can be applied, specific to each use-case. For the first-time signalling security is made available for enterprise customers who need full visibility and management capability over the security of their IoT fleet.

Backward compatible

Enhanced security systems are hosted in the JT core network, granting protection to all new IoT SIMs as well as IoT devices which are already in the field. This backward compatibility is critical to bring the benefit of this innovation to millions of IoT devices which are already distributed worldwide.

The assets of both companies deployed together create a powerful solution for enterprises: Cellusys IoT Protect? technology combined with the global cellular data connectivity provided by JT. JT customers can verify that their devices are protected, get threat alerts from a single provider, and can manage their own IoT security from a single innovative IoT Security Dashboard.

Tom Noel, Managing Director of JT International, said: “We are delighted to be teaming with Cellusys IOT in rolling out an innovative, global IoT Security solution. Our M2M (Machine-to-Machine) SIM solution is purpose-built to deliver the connectivity required for IoT deployments at scale. We are looking forward to taking this partnership with Cellusys IoT forward and continuing to serve our customers better with enhanced, secure connectivity, wherever they are in the world.”

Gerrit Jan Konijnenberg CEO of Cellusys IOT, said: “This is an important partnership for Cellusys IOT. Security is a growing concern of many enterprise customers, JT and Cellusys IOT together will put enterprise customers back in control of risk management of their cellular connectivity solution with IoT Protect. For the first-time network security is made transparent and visible to JT customers, which only can be achieved by the teaming and close cooperation of the two companies.”
