If we haven’t met yet, I have been with Market Doctors for over nine years, where I started as a campaign coordinator. If you are unfamiliar with the company, Market Doctors is an award-winning, full-service digital marketing and advertising agency providing impactful, data-driven solutions for automotive retailers based out of Houston, Texas. We are a full service digital and traditional marketing agency, developing strategic plans to increase sales and market share in automotive variable and fixed operations. We are committed to providing our clients with personal and exceptional service while delivering measurable results through our campaigns.

Earlier this year, I was promoted at Market Doctors to Director of Diversity. This role is important to me in more ways than one, and it truly means everything. Market Doctors sees the difference I bring to the table and how I can help this company grow.

Each month in Driving Difference, I will feature leaders in an interview style Q and A who are making a difference in their respective roles and impacting the automotive industry. The individuals I interview work in various roles all over the industry, from retail to vendors and across all genders and ethnicities. We also want to highlight and dig into some of the differences in digital strategies and technology that are available to dealers today.

For the month of November, most recognized as a month of giving, I wanted to highlight a few organizations that are near to my heart doing amazing work for their respective communities and giving back.

Hope Haven Belize: is San Pedro Town’s first women and children’s home that provides shelter and hosts seminars to empower women and children. Our founder Debbie Drury has been involved with this non-profit in Belize for years and has done incredible work for their non-profit raising hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Hope Haven Belize is the only children's shelter on the island housing abused, neglected or orphaned children. They offer mental health and education services to the children in their care. They also offer emergency placement and outpatient counseling services to victims of domestic violence.

(CMDA) Chrysler Minority Dealer Association is a national trade association representing ethnic minority dealership owners of Fiat Chrysler Automobile dealerships. Founded in 1986 by minority dealers, CMDA addresses the specific needs of minority dealers and those aspiring to become dealers. They represent owners who strive not only to strengthen and enhance their businesses and operations but also to give back to their communities. CMDA has memberships, training and consulting programs, and minority dealer events available.

One area that is worth noting is the scholarships they have available for the youth of the industry. Since 1987, the Chrysler Minority Dealers Association has provided more than $1.4 million in scholarship funds to more than 120 Northwood University minority students. These annual donations are made via three endowed scholarships.

?The Jesse Jones Jr. Scholarship is named after CMDA’s founder. The Jack J. Hart Memorial and Cecil Ward Scholarship is named in honor of a mentor and coach to several current and former CMDA dealers and the Director of the Minority Dealer Development Program who helped establish the scholarship programs at Northwood. Our third endowed scholarship is the Joseph P. Shady Scholarship, which was named in honor of the former Chrysler Vice President of Dealer Operations who supported the development of Chrysler’s minority dealer program.
