Empowering Youth's Dreams ??????? ?????????? ???????????
In today's rapidly advancing technological landscape, electronic waste (e-waste) has become one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges. As our devices become outdated or obsolete, they often end up in landfills, releasing harmful toxins into the environment. At Swavalamban Avam Swabhimaan Foundation (SAS Foundation) , we believe that this is a challenge we can—and must—address through collective action and responsible recycling practices.
On 25th August 2024, SAS Foundation, in collaboration with Attero , organized an E-Waste Collection Drive at Aishwaryam Apartments, Sector 4, Dwarka. This initiative was not just another event on our calendar—it was a significant step towards realizing our mission of creating a sustainable and environmentally responsible society.
The Drive: A Community Effort
Our recent drive was a resounding success, thanks to the overwhelming participation and support from the residents of Aishwaryam Apartments. The items collected ranged from laptops and smartphones to UPS systems, earphones, and electrical circuit breakers. In total, we collected an impressive 1.14 tonnes of e-waste this year alone—a clear indication of the community's commitment to preserving our environment.
This drive, like many others we've organized, was a testament to the power of community engagement. We are deeply grateful to Mr. Pradeep Menon - RWA President, and Mr. Ram Prasad - Office Manager of Aishwaryam Apartments, for their unwavering support and cooperation. Their leadership and dedication played a crucial role in the success of this initiative.
The People Behind the Success
At SAS Foundation, our team is the backbone of every successful initiative. We would like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of Dr. Nitin Saini and Gaurav Agarwal, CSM , who represented the SAS Foundation with passion and dedication. Additionally, our collaboration with Arjun Tiwari from Attero brought in the expertise and resources needed to ensure that the collected e-waste will be recycled in an environmentally sound manner.
