Driving a Business - Random Thoughts

We all have the opportunity to find new ways to engage our WFH toolbox for outreach to customers and potential customers. Here are some thoughts I have from a look back over several careers and marketing engagement activities.
If you have a well established product or company
1. Provide your customers a peace of mind you are still here and that business will continue to exist and drive forward
2. Be real, make sure they know you are not in 100% control and that you will be transparent when issues arise around supply chain or support based on the fast changing environment
3. Get on calls, not txt, not email. Calls. We all get into a mode where we know everyone is online and keep the conversations that way. But without social at the office, we all spend too much time being 'quiet'
4. Make sure the calls are as personal as they are allowed. If you know them well, be friendly, if you don't be sure to at least ask (if you feel you can)
If you have are like me, new-disruptive-challening to understand company
1. All of the above
2. Simplify, articulate, highlight the ease of your solution (even if it seems hard).
3. Be willing to go a bit outside your 'comfort' zone of testing/loaner/samples and expect it to take more time to close a hard deal, so stay very very patient
4. Be bold on social. Up your conversations, not as company only, but personal. People want to interact with people... Post as you, re-post as the company... Post as the company, re-post as you with a more personal twist.
5. In social, promote your market, DO NOT tag your company... It shows educational interest not self serving only... (I am challenged here all the time BTW!).

This was a 3rd party unsponsored article on my technology. My company was mentioned, but I did NOT add that to my post. I simply shared and added personal comments.
If you have found this useful. Great... If nothing more than something to read on a Friday going into a weekend...
Finally, don't forget to step away from that home desk... :)
