Driving Affordability and Efficiency: Ivory Homes' Mission on Capitol Hill

Doing Good in Utah with Social Impact, Policy Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Today marked a pivotal day in our journey at Ivory Homes and Ivory Innovations as we brought our commitment to housing affordability and sustainability to the forefront of discussions on Capitol Hill.
Our exchange with Rep. Blake D. Moore on expanded housing access for military personnel set the tone for the day. In an environment where over 56% of military families express dissatisfaction with their housing, according to the Military Family Advisory Network, Moore's proposed legislation and our shared dedication to improving this scenario will undoubtedly catalyze meaningful changes.
Sustainability and efficiency were key themes in our conversation with Congressman John Curtis . Proudly, we shared that the average Ivory Home is 17% more efficient than code requirements, underlining our commitment to environmentally conscious and cost-effective living solutions. Furthermore, our new line of Signature Homes comes equipped with heat-pumps, further increasing their energy efficiency. These initiatives not only align with our recognition as the Utah Clean Air Partnership - UCAIR Air Quality Partner of the Year but also underscore the tangible impact of public policy incentives in encouraging sustainable building practices.
Our discussions then turned to the success and challenges of Utah's housing policies during our meeting with Senator Mike Lee 's team. While Utah has made significant strides in tackling housing affordability, the journey is far from over. By 2030, our state needs to create an additional 250,000 housing units to meet demand. We discussed our strategic approach to this challenge, including exploring innovative solutions like modular housing and development in rural areas.
The entire delegation displayed active engagement and commitment, reinforcing our belief that effective housing policies can either foster prosperity or perpetuate poverty. Given the nationwide housing affordability crisis, these dialogues were not just timely but crucial.
As we anticipate tomorrow's National Housing Innovation Showcase, we look forward to learning, sharing, and engaging with industry experts to further our mission of catalyzing innovation in housing affordability.
Our engagements in D.C. underscore Ivory Homes' unwavering dedication to confronting the housing affordability crisis in America. Through policy discussions and continuous innovation, we strive to ensure that quality, affordable housing is a reality for all. Stay tuned as we continue this mission, translating policy dialogues into action and making strides in housing affordability and sustainability.
