There are many new and innovative versions of slewing ring bearings on the market, including sliding slewing rings made with a polymer liner, hard-anodized aluminum rings or stainless-steel rings. The success of slewing ring bearings directly correlates to how the system is driven, therefore, it is important to know what options are available. When working with rotating or turntable applications, the slewing ring bearings can be driven in four ways.
External gear or internal gear
If a slewing ring uses a mating gear made from steel, the gear should be made of the same material in order to avoid damaging the slewing ring.
External belt
Tension handling is very important factor for the belt which will lead slewing bearing to swirl per request
Worm gear
Worm shaft, worm gear will drive the slewing bearing to carry out movements per design requirements.
Drive-plate coupling
One drive-plate coupling is connecting with a motor that is assembled directly to the slewing bearing to realize rotation movement of slewing bearing
Lifetime mostly depends on loads, operating mode, speed, installation space and working environment etc
