The Driveline — April Edition

Safety Tune-up Before the Summer Rush?

As the weather warms up, the number of people hitting the roads for vacations and outdoor activities can make road conditions more challenging for truck drivers and can result in increased crashes. It’s a great time for fleets to evaluate their driver safety programs, increase coaching conversations and affirm a fleet-wide commitment to driver safety. Idelic’s Driver Watch List and Professional Development Plans make this easy. If you need a little inspiration, I suggest you watch TCW ’s Vice President, Operation, Ben Banks in our recent Fleet Leader Chat share how they’ve operationalized some really creative ways to engage drivers and build an award-winning safety record. Stay safe out there!

It requires a commitment from all levels of the organization, and companies must take proactive steps to ensure that safety is always the first consideration in decision-making.
