Positive moves this month

With climate change persisting to impact our planet, it’s no wonder eco-anxiety is a feeling many of us are facing. But why let it win?

Here’s some good climate news from around the world to plant a seed of hope in our future…

  • Ever wondered what life will look like in 10 year’s time? Travel to Utrecht, and you could get a (very accurate) glimpse of the future. The Netherlands city has transformed a six-lane road for cars into a canal for boating and nature where both wildlife and residents can flourish. Green living never looked so good! Check it out here.?
  • The French parliament is cracking down on fast fashion with its bill to see all adverts banned in France and penalties on low-cost clothing to cover its environmental impact. Considering throwaway fashion accounts for a whopping 8-10% of global CO2 emissions, this measure proves that following trends = out, and shopping sustainably = in.?
  • Meanwhile, thanks to the (solar, wind, and nuclear) power of clean tech, the use of fossil fuels continues to slow down. According to the IEA, our global emissions in the last five years would have been three times higher without clean energy technology. The research found that growth in cleaner sources has allowed for a ‘’structural slowdown’’ in energy-related emissions.
