A 15-year study found that in a group of patients who suffered whiplash following a road traffic accident:
? 93% reported chronic neck pain longer than 6 months after their injury
? 58% had associated back pain
? Age was a significant predictor of chronic pain (with a 29% increase risk for every 5 years above the age of 37)
Unfortunately, more accidents happen during the summer as compared to any other season.
