US government moves forward with 15 onshore renewable energy projects
The Biden-Harris administration has revealed that they’re progressing with 15 onshore renewables projects, including in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. This is part of their strive to reach a 100% clean electricity grid by 2035.?
BP commences production in a UK North Sea oil and gas field
BP, alongside partners Neptune Energy and JAPEX, has officially kicked off production in the UK North Sea. The project is anticipated to yield approximately 50,000 barrels a day, increase energy supplies, plus support the supply chain and jobs in the industry.
Fast electric vehicle charging to be tested in Norway
Sunlit Sea, who are joining forces with Endra and Ev Powercharge, have received support to enable them to test a floating installation that will feature fast electric vehicle charging. The trial will analyse power generation, maintenance costs, the prospective impact of degradation, and more.?

Fundraising update
We’ve had a successful year of fundraising activities – from raising over £500 for MIND UK with the Three Peaks Challenge to selecting our chosen charity: MIK Foundation. Our team is making a visit to the Foundation in East Africa this week.
We attended OEEC 2023
The WRS team was present in Amsterdam on November 28th and 29th to participate in the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference 2023. This is part of our ongoing dedication to helping progress offshore and onshore renewable energy projects.?

Potluck at WRS US
Our US team hosted our first-ever Potluck Feast on the 15th of November to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a great opportunity to share different foods from across the pond! With cuisine ranging from traditional American casseroles to Lancashire cheese and onion pie, it was fantastic to celebrate the unique stories of each dish and diversity.

As November was National Career Development Month in the US, we’ve recently been focusing on the training opportunities that we provide.
