?The global community has adopted a set of promises called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals comprise 169 targets that promise many things. From abolishing poverty, hunger, war and climate change to promoting eco-tourism to urban parks for the disabled, these goals cover a diverse set of ambitions.
Targeted with a time frame of 15 years (from 2015 to 2030), we are almost past the halftime mark of the designated time frame. This discussion examines how India performed on the SDGs, the issues we face and the plans for realizing them.

Wilma Rodrigues is the founder and CEO of Saahas Zero Waste (SZW), a social enterprise committed to implementing holistic zero-waste solutions across India. Saahas believes that in the 21st century, businesses must not just talk but deliver on environmental and social impact.?Wilma is a former journalist with the Times of India group and BusinessWorld Magazine.?By bringing together Nature, People, and Technology, SZW provides a waste management system that diverts up to 96% of waste from landfills and recovers maximum resources. SZW today manages around 100 tonnes of waste per day.
Kanika Pal is an award-winning CSR and sustainability professional with over 17 years of experience. Presently, she heads community investments and sustainability programmes for 联合利华 South Asia.?Kanika pal holds a master's degree in CSR from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and Advance management in public policy from the Indian School of Business. A TEDx speaker, she quit the corporate sector from 2015–17 and founded Solutions for Clean and Healthy Environment or SoCHE Foundation, to influence behaviour change for a cleaner planet.?
Divya Ravichandran is the founder of Skrap , a sustainability startup that helps businesses implement zero-waste solutions. She is a passionate advocate of sustainability, low-waste living and positive climate action. Divya leads a zero-waste lifestyle and usually discards less than 100 grams of landfill waste in a year.?
