Bryan?Carlo, a scheduler with Kirtland Davis-Monthan Andrews Moody (KDAM) Aircrew Training and Rehearsal Support (ATARS) program at Moody Air Force Base, has been instrumental in maintaining the throughput of students despite several setbacks in the last few months.
“During the repair of the Mylar screen tear on the (weapons systems trainer), the aftermath of hurricane Ian, and the base closures for inclement weather,?Bryan?was able to keep all of the required courses on time with their graduation dates with no impact to training,” said William “OB” O’Brien, corporate program manager for KDAM ATARS. “He was able to adjust the daily schedules to complete as much training as possible in order to provide the students with the most academic training in the shortest amount of time.”
Carlo?also spearheaded the coordination of a short-notice request from the 39th Rescue Squadron at Patrick Air Force Base to allow for deployment spin-up training when bad weather hampered the training in California.
Carlo?joined DRG in July 2020 after working three years scheduling munitions for five flying squadrons, which covered three airframes – A-10 Thunderbolt II, C-130 Hercules and HH-60G Pave Hawk.
“I started out by learning the nuances of (simulator) scheduling versus munitions scheduling, and, today, I'm a very knowledgeable and relied upon scheduler trusted with additional tasks,” he said.
